President Goals

The SkillsUSA 2023-24 Chapter President, Mely Castro, goals are to start the SkillsUSA committees early, to interact and plan events with other extracurricular activities, to have all-year-long community service opportunities, and to host more fundraisers to help with paying for SkillsUSA competition fees and events.

Chapter Excellence Program

This competition takes all over the U.S annually, and recognizes a Chapter’s achievement relating to the integration of SkillsUSA Framework in Chapter Programs Of Work activities. Programs Of Work are vital to students as they develop the Essential Elements that are tied to personal, workplace and technical skills. When a Chapter participates in Chapter Excellence Program, their members are split into six Programs of Work committees that will hold different fundraisers and activities throughout the year. To learn more about the six Programs Of Work and Chapter Excellence Program, go to the cep 2.0 booklet.

Fundraise

Fundraising is an essential part of what SkillsUSA provides, and there are thousands of annually held fundraisers across America. Fundraising helps finance for our CCTS chapter, which include dues for competition, buying require equipment and setting up events. Fundraising also gives members learning experience in project management, setting timeline, working within a budget and many more that will be beneficial for future careers. Recently, SkillsUSA has partner up with Double Good Popcorn with the main goal of making fundraising simple and effective.
